What is the background on Parallax?

Parallax-Medical began in 1997 as an innovative start-up based in Santa Cruz, California. The company’s dynamic team of professionals including leaders in the field of minimally invasive spine procedures created the now well-recognized product line for percutaneous injection of bone cement, bone access and bone augmentation.

Parallax was the first company in the world to develop a full line of products exclusively for the percutaneous injection of bone cement, bone access and bone augmentation. Over the years, the company formed solid relationships with key opinion leaders and practitioners, allowing Parallax to develop the integrated product-based solutions physicians require in order to treat patients safely and effectively.

Parallax-Medical was acquired in 2004 by ArthroCare Corp., which has further supported the company’s progressive reputation as a leader in the industry with new products, sales support, practice development and patient outreach programs.
